South Florida is lighting up for the holidays. As temperatures get cooler here in Florida, it’s time to celebrate the holidays with family and friends.

O’ Solar Tree

Christmas trees aren’t the only trees lighting up this holiday season. Make sure to check out select FPL SolarNow locations to see our solar trees lit up in dazzling lights. These unique, innovative structures also generate clean energy for the community.

Catching a flight out of Palm Beach International Airport or visiting your relatives in South Florida for the holidays? Three lit up solar trees at PBIA lead the way on dark, winter nights. Stop by before you take off or see if you can spot them from the air!

ArtsPark at Young Circle is a dynamic venue with a variety of events that are perfect for the holidays. In addition to our two lit up solar trees, you can enjoy Christmas Near The Beach. For the past 15 years, this event has become a special tradition for the Hollywood community. On December 11, visit the park to see Santa, sing Christmas carols, listen to holiday music and eat tasty treats.

Zoo Lights at Zoo Miami

Zoo Miami will open at night for a special holiday event with one million bright, animal shaped lights and dazzling tree lights. Experience Zoo Lights on select nights through Dec. 30. Enjoy Snowman’s River Boat Rides (additional charge applies), arts & crafts, holiday music, appearances by Santa, and much more!

Zoo Lights at Palm Beach Zoo

Palm Beach Zoo’s must-see illuminating event lights up this holiday season on select nights through Jan. 2 from 6 – 9 p.m. While the animals slumber, the zoo will dazzle with more than one million eco-friendly LED lights, creating a festive glow along its tropical pathways. The festive holiday fun also features photos with Santa (until Dec. 23), a DJ holiday dance party, seasonal treats and more!

Tree Lighting at St. Augustine Distillery

Visit the St. Augustine Distillery on Dec. 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. for a tree lighting ceremony and local holiday shopping event. Enjoy a tour of the distillery and sample local spirits while you learn about solar energy. Afterward, shop small and support local vendors at the distillery while enjoying the festive sights and sounds.

North Pole Pajama Party at MODS

Bring the whole family to the Museum of Discovery and Science for the ultimate pajama party! On Dec. 11 and 18 starting at 9 a.m., you can enjoy all museum exhibits with a holiday science show, test your aim at the tropical “snowball” throwing station, make-and-take your own snow globe and build your own snowman. Admission includes an invitation to see The Polar Express in the AutoNation® IMAX® Theater.

Holidays in Space

On Dec. 17 through 31 (closed December 25), step into a holiday village full of galactic celebrations at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., live stage performances and a DJ dance party will entertain guest of all ages, while immersive and festive photo opportunities create share-worthy memories. Plus, participate in engaging and educational activities throughout the day, like trivia to impress your friends back home.
