Zoo Miami

Formerly known as Zoo Miami and the Miami Metro Zoo, the Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens is the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida. Zoo Miami is the only tropical zoo in the continental United States, and more than 3,000 animals call it home. Stop by our solar trees or stop by the solar pavilion to get up close with solar energy and learn more about how it works. The solar tree also has an augmented reality exhibit featuring “Sunny,” an interactive 3D animated solar tree that teaches you how solar energy works.
