FPL’s SolarNow program is generating clean solar energy in communities across Florida with more than 200 solar trees and canopies installed or under construction. In parks, neighborhoods, and attractions across the state, these arrays provide shade, emissions-free energy and even phone charging capabilities.

Did you know participants who enroll in the FPL SolarNow program also get exclusive perks like access to free events, as well as discounts from partner organizations? It’s FPL’s way of saying thank you for the support!

Free Events, Discounts and Offers for Participants

With free and discounted entries to local attractions and community events, the benefits of enrolling in FPL’s SolarNow program are endless. For example, participants can get free tickets to the annual Zoobilee event at Naples Zoo every February, where they can experience the zoo at night while sampling food and drinks from local restaurants, enjoying live music and exciting animal encounters. In November and December, free tickets to Zoo Lights at local zoos get everyone in the holiday spirit!

Offers are updated throughout the year, and this year we have offered in-person and virtual activities for all participants to join in on the fun.

We’re also excited to offer FPL SolarNow participants exclusive discounts to various attractions, events, memberships, and shopping deals.

Every April, we partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to give away free trees that can be planted in yards throughout Florida. To date, we have given out nearly 16,000 trees to FPL SolarNow participants. Another way we’re working with participants to create a cleaner energy future

We love to see FPL SolarNow participants enjoying offers at partner locations so don’t forget to take a selfie next to a SolarNow tree or canopy next time you go. To learn more about upcoming news and offers, visit

Making a Positive Impact in the Community

The implementation of solar trees and canopies are a great way to empower locals and visitors to learn more about renewable energy. Zoos, parks, museums, and other local places have transformed into living classrooms where visitors can learn more about solar energy.

When there’s a new array being installed or coming online, FPL invites participants to join in the exclusive celebrations. In fact, participants have been invited to witness the exclusive unveilings at locations such as Zoo Miami, Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center and more.

To celebrate the 100th tree at the West Palm Beach Brightline station, FPL hosted an event to celebrate a huge milestone! Three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem was even on-hand to meet FPL SolarNow participants and celebrate the unveiling.
