Girls Scouts and FPL partner up for first solar canopy in Sarasota

Suncoast News Network – The Girls Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida and the Florida Power and Light Company are bringing solar energy to the Suncoast. FPL unveiled the first of its kind solar canopy instillation in Sarasota early Friday afternoon. The power company partnered with local Girls Scouts to spread the importance of renewable energy.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex introduces new solar energy technology

WOFL Fox 35 – Florida Power & Light Company has worked with the city of Port St. Lucie to install new solar panel shade structures in Jessica Clinton Park, where visitors can enjoy some shade under the 100-kilowatt solar canopy. The project was made possible through FPL’s SolarNow program.
