As a SolarNow member, you have access to special events and fun activities at many of our SolarNow partner venues throughout Florida.

On Saturday, Sept. 1, we hope to see you as FPL takes over the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) in Fort Lauderdale for a limited-time SolarNow experience and other exciting happenings.

Check out some of the special events for the day:

Chill Out at FPL’s Cooling Station

Have a “blast” in the interactive FPL Cooling Station by walking into a larger-than-life ice cube that refreshes with music and a blast of liquid nitrogen, cooling guests by 15-20 degrees. You’ll also learn about energy-savings tips and tools and take home a fun video of the experience.

As you’ll see below, our Cooling Stations were quite the attraction at the Palm Beach Zoo last summer.

Instagram-worthy Photo Experience Under the Solar Trees

After you’ve experienced our Cooling Station at MODS, head over to our solar trees and learn how we’re taking our state’s sunshine, turning it into solar energy and bringing it closer to you.

Capture the moment with a nine-camera photo experience, take home a printed photo and receive a “freeze-motion” video you can share on social media. Remember to tag us @insideFPL on Twitter or @FPLConnect on Facebook and use #FPLSolarNow for a chance for your photo be featured on this blog!

Can’t make it Sept 1. Not to worry! FPL’s Cooling Stations will take a tour of South Florida, stopping by the Palm Beach Zoo on Monday, Sept. 3. As part of the holiday weekend, admission for kids under 13 is free!

The next stop on FPL’s Cooling Stations tour is the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami on Sept. 8 and 9, and Zoo Miami on Sept. 22 and 23.

Don’t forget to stop by and see the solar trees at Zoo Miami and the Frost Science while you’re there.
