Join the Renewall Movement
Every action makes an impact, and how we choose to live today can leave a lasting impression on tomorrow. We believe that by harnessing the power of renewable energy and collective action, Florida will be a better place for future generations.
We are committed to keeping it that way by advancing the use of clean energy in Florida. The sun is what makes the Sunshine State such a beautiful place to live, work and play, and that’s why we’re leading the expansion of solar energy in Florida. In addition, we’re making it easier to drive electric by installing charging stations across the state, including fast chargers powered by 100% renewable energy.
Are you ready to be a part of the clean energy revolution? You can start today and reduce your own carbon footprint with our Renewall initiative. The goal of Renewall is to inspire a clean energy movement by providing a platform that brings together like-minded individuals who care about saving the planet and choose to be a part of FPL’s clean energy programs.
Together, we can power the change.
Inspiring the Future
An important part of the Renewall movement is educating the public and future generation about solar energy. As part of the FPL SolarNow program, we have “planted” solar trees and installed solar canopies at local zoos, parks and museums across the state. It’s all part of a goal to reduce our own carbon footprint and generate emissions-free energy to power the grid that benefits everyone.
At 70+ locations, you can see these innovative structures up close and witness solar energy in action. Visit Brevard Zoo to see kangaroos lounging in the shade or take a trip to Oceanfront Park to watch the waves roll in underneath a solar canopy. After you’ve visited one of our locations, be sure to check out our Solar IQ page to expand your knowledge and test what you’ve learned with our interactive quiz.
You can help us make a difference in our goal to lead the solar energy revolution and spread the word about solar. Join us today for just $9 a month, or 30 cents a day, and you’ll have a direct role in supporting the operation, maintenance and enhancement of these solar projects in your community.
Explore the EV Revolution
The future of Florida is electric. Did you know one in four vehicles sold in the U.S. will be battery-powered by 2030? Plus, the number of electric vehicles (EVs) on the road in Florida is expected to double.
Not only does making the switch to an EV reduce your carbon footprint, but it also can save you up to $400 a year on fuel costs. FPL Evolution is making it more convenient and efficient for drivers to own EVs. With an 800+ mile stretch of fast charging stations strategically located from coast to coast, drivers can plug in every 50 miles along Florida’s Turnpike. FPL EVolution fast charging is powered by 100% renewable energy so your EV can run as clean as was intended.
The charging points are even available at FPL SolarNow locations, including the Brevard Zoo and Babcock Ranch. Find a charging port near you by downloading the FPL EVolution app, available for iOS and Android devices, so you can charge up during your quest to see solar energy in action.
Take Control of Your Footprint
Protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility, and our renewable energy initiatives are just a part of what Renewall is all about. You can measure your own impact on the environment with tools on our website, including FPL’s Energy Dashboard, Energy Analyzer and Carbon Calculator. Even something as simple as switching to a reusable water bottle, instead of plastic, can make a big difference.
Shining a light on solar energy is just one way we’re committed to environmental sustainability. As the largest producer of solar in Florida, we’re rapidly expanding every day. In addition to bringing unique solar structures into local communities, we are committed to installing 30 million solar panels by 2025 – five years earlier than expected as part our ‘30 by 30’ plan.
Florida has come a long way in its clean energy journey, but there is still work to be done. Join the Renewall movement today and do your part in protecting the place we call home.
