Self-Guided Beach Cleanup at Loggerhead Marinelife Center
Join us for a weekly self-guided beach cleanup at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, where you can take part at your convenience Saturdays from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. This rewarding service event is open to the public, with unlimited participants and no RSVP required. Materials will also be provided, including gloves, recycling bin and mesh bags, with all debris to be collected by the center following cleanup. While there, explore the conservation facility and get a closer look at the on-site solar tree that provides clean, renewable energy for the community.

Food Trucks Fridays Fiesta
Located in Miami’s Tropical Park is one of South Florida’s best community events and family festivals. Every Friday, from 5 - 10 p.m., you can bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy a great evening of fun with local food trucks, music, bounce houses, and kids’ activities. While visiting this 275-acre urban park, be sure to stop by one of our many solar trees to see solar energy in action.

Babcock Ranch Art Show
Browse amazing art by local and national artists during the seventh annual Babcock Ranch Art Show on March 8 and 9. The free art show features over 65 exhibitors, as well as can fare from a selection of Southwest Florida’s favorite food trucks and refreshments. When visiting this solar-powered community, keep in mind that an FPL Solar Energy Center powers thousands of residents when the sun is shining and even longer, thanks to state-of-the-art battery storage. Stop by the solar trees at Founder’s Square to get a glimpse as they generate clean energy for the community and raise awareness of the town’s commitment to sustainability.

Visit Lauderdale Science Festival
On March 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., dive into a full day of hands-on STEM adventures with Visit Lauderdale Science Festival. Taking place at the Museum of Discovery and Science, this free event offers thrilling science shows, hands-on makerspace workshops and cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs from local industries and universities. In between talks with STEM professionals, don’t forget to take a solar selfie next to our innovative solar tree. Visit their website to reserve your free tickets today!
