June 21 is not only the start of summertime, it’s also the longest day of the year, meaning it’s the best day for solar arrays, like FPL SolarNow’s trees and canopies, to catch some rays and turn them into clean energy.

Whether you’re planning a fun-filled day in the sun or getting ready for a road trip, make an FPL SolarNow partner location a stop on your itinerary. FPL SolarNow partners with 70+ locations including museums, parks and local attractions across Florida. Some of these locations also feature water slides, pools, and ocean waves, making them a great place to visit on hot, sunny days.

Check out the list below of partner locations at local water parks, aquatic centers and beaches across the Sunshine State where you can stay cool while enjoying the outdoors.

Soak Up the Sun and Make a Splash this Summer

The Barracuda Bay Aquatic Complex is a great place for the whole family to cool off during the hot summer days, with water slides, fountains, an interactive activity pool and much more. Grab some shade under one of our solar trees in between dips into the pool.

Pelican Beach Park at Satellite Beach is an ideal location for summer fun, with six pavilions and grills, playgrounds, volleyball courts and more. After a long day at the beach, you’ll come back to a car that’s been protected from the hot sun by our solar canopy.

In Miami, Charles Hadley Park & Aquatic Complex features an aquatic complex that includes six diving boards and a high-dive platform. After a few cannonballs, stop by one of our two solar trees near the playground to stay cool under the sun.

The City of Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex offers plenty of fun in the sun for people of all ages. Swim laps, enjoy water aerobics, test your skills on the diving board, or just enjoy the water slides, splash playground and splash pad that’s perfect for families. Stop by to see solar trees in action as they soak up the sun to provide clean, emissions-free energy for the community.

Take Steps Towards a Brighter Future

But clean energy isn’t all just fun in the sun – FPL understands that a clean energy future starts with taking the right steps forward today. That’s why FPL is announcing 22 solar energy centers (SECs) are under construction, to add to the company’s current footprint of 65 SECs, as part of FPL’s Real Zero goal to eliminate carbon emissions by 2045.
